Every HR and admin team runs into the same problem in the weeks before Raya: something halal, presentable and consistent needs to go out to staff, clients, or both, and it needs to arrive the same way for everyone on one date. The gift itself is rarely the hard part. Getting an identical product to fifty or five hundred people, on time, at the standard you approved, is.
This guide covers how to plan a Raya corporate gift order in bulk, what actually holds up as a festive gift once it leaves your hands, and what to ask a supplier before you commit a production slot that cannot move once Raya week arrives.
Why Raya corporate gifting behaves differently from everyday gifting
A birthday gift or a one-off thank-you has slack built in. If it is a day late or slightly inconsistent between recipients, nobody compares notes. Raya gifting does not have that slack. Everyone receiving a corporate gift knows roughly when it should arrive, and in most offices, people do compare what they got. A gift that is fresher for the first twenty recipients than the last, or that arrives a day after the open house, reads as an oversight rather than a festive gesture.
The other difference is the calendar. Raya has a fixed date every year, and every business with a gifting budget is trying to book production in the same three or four week window. Suppliers who make to order, rather than sell from stock, fill that window early. If you are planning to order in bulk, the constraint is rarely the product. It is whether a production slot for your date still exists by the time you ask.
What actually holds up as a Raya gift
Three things matter more than how the gift looks in a photo.
The first is halal standing. This is not negotiable for Raya gifting, and it should be confirmed in writing at quote stage rather than assumed from packaging or branding. A supplier who can tell you clearly what they can and cannot confirm about ingredients and sourcing is more useful than one who simply says yes.
The second is how the product survives handling. A Raya gift is rarely eaten the moment it is received. It sits on a desk, gets carried home on a bus or in a hot car, and is often opened days later during an open house. Anything that needs continuous chilling is a liability in that chain unless your own distribution can guarantee cold storage the whole way, which most office gifting cannot.
The third is portioning. Corporate gifts are almost always individually wrapped, one piece per recipient or one box per recipient, rather than a shared tray. This is what makes a five hundred piece order manageable to distribute and lets each recipient open something that is clearly theirs.
Chilled bar or no-chill format: which suits a corporate gift run
Our Kunafa Pistachio Chocolate Bar is a 240 to 250 gram bar, individually foil wrapped, and needs to stay chilled. It suits a smaller, higher-touch gift list, one where recipients collect it in person and it moves from your office fridge to a home fridge within a short window, such as a VIP client list or a senior team.
The Dubai Chewy is a 55 gram cookie that needs no chilling, which is the format that suits most corporate Raya runs. It can be boxed, distributed across a department, couriered to branch offices, or handed out at an open house without anyone having to think about cold storage. For a headcount gift where you cannot control how quickly each person gets it home, this is almost always the safer choice.
If your gift list has both a large general distribution and a smaller VIP tier, it is reasonable to order both products for the same Raya run. Tell your supplier the split at the quote stage so the two productions can be scheduled together.
Planning the order backwards from Raya
Work back from your distribution date, not forward from when you happen to remember. A rough sequence that holds for most office gifting:
- Confirm the headcount and the split between products or tiers first. This is the number a supplier needs before they can hold a slot for you.
- Request a quote as early in the season as you can. Festive weeks are the first production slots to fill, and a written quote gives you a figure to take to whoever approves the budget.
- Decide packaging and any branding before you confirm. If the gift needs a company name, logo, or a specific box rather than standard packaging, that is a private label request and needs more lead time than a standard order.
- Confirm delivery format. One bulk delivery to your office for internal distribution is simpler to schedule than split deliveries to multiple branches, so decide which you need before the quote is finalised.
- Leave a buffer before your open house or distribution date. Ordering for the exact day you need it removes any room for a delivery delay to be absorbed quietly.
What to ask before you commit the order
- Can you confirm the halal position in writing before I order? A vague verbal answer is not enough for a corporate gift list.
- Is my date still available, or has the festive window already filled? Ask this directly rather than assuming, since festive slots close earlier than a normal order.
- What is the minimum order for this product? Bulk pricing and minimums usually move together, and knowing both lets you size the order correctly the first time.
- Can packaging carry our company name, and how much lead time does that add? Private label packaging is produced separately from the dessert itself.
- What happens if my headcount changes after I confirm? A production run scheduled against a fixed date has less room to flex than a standard order, so it is worth knowing this before, not during, the week of Raya.
If you are ordering for an event rather than a staff list, we also compare kunafa pistachio chocolate against a standard chocolate favour, and cover what survives a gift table in door gifts for 200 or more guests.
Ordering a Raya corporate gift from SixDessert
We produce the Kunafa Pistachio Chocolate Bar and The Dubai Chewy to order from our kitchen in Kajang, and festive season production is scheduled against confirmed dates, not held as stock. Once we know your headcount, the product split, and your distribution date, we can tell you the minimum order, the lead time we can commit to, and whether private label packaging fits your timeline.
See how we approach the wider festive calendar in festive season orders, and how office gifting works outside of Raya in office and corporate events. You can also check minimum order quantities and pricing before you get in touch.
Request a quote if you are ordering on behalf of a company, or start a bulk order if you are planning a smaller office celebration.
