Wholesale pricing

How wholesale pricing is built.

We quote per order rather than publish a rate card. This page explains exactly what moves the number, so you can predict it before you ask.

Why there is no published rate card

A published wholesale pricing list has to assume a product, a quantity, an order frequency and a delivery. Change any one of those and the number is wrong. Most rate cards solve this by quoting high enough to be safe, which means everyone pays for the worst case.

We quote per order instead. It costs you one message, and it means a hotel taking a standing order is not subsidising a one-off wedding, and a buyer who needs the ambient product is not paying for a cold chain they never use.

Quoted in writing

Unit price, minimum and lead time, before you commit.

Per order

A price for one order does not carry to the next unless we say so.

No hidden extras

Any delivery charge is on the quote, not added later.

The four things that move the price

In roughly the order they matter. If you want a lower number, these are the levers, and the first one costs you nothing to think about.

Which product

The biggest single factor, and the one buyers get wrong most often. Kunafa Pistachio Chocolate Bar is a bar of roughly 250 g, chilled, made to be given to one person. The Dubai Chewy is smaller, needs no chilling and is built to feed a room. Ordering 250 g gift bars for a headcount of three hundred is an expensive way to solve a problem the chewy solves properly. Compare the two

Quantity

Larger runs spread setup across more pieces, so the unit price falls as volume rises. The steps are not smooth, because production works in batches. Ask us where the next step sits rather than guessing, because ordering slightly more sometimes costs less in total.

Frequency

A standing or repeat order prices differently from a one-off, because the specification is already agreed and the schedule is predictable. If you are trialling before a listing, say so. It changes what we plan for and it is worth telling us honestly.

Branding and delivery

A private label run adds packaging, an approval round and a higher minimum, though the product cost is similar. Delivery depends on location, the number of drops, and whether the venue has timed access or a service lift. Any charge is stated on the quote rather than added afterwards. Private label and OEM

What is not in the price

Four things we will not quietly build in, because you should be deciding whether you want them.

Packaging you have not approved

On a private label run we do not source or mark up your packaging without agreeing it first. If you have a packaging supplier, use them.

Volume you did not ask for

We will tell you if ordering more is cheaper per unit, but we will not quote you a bigger order than the one you asked about.

A rush premium you were not told about

If your date needs something out of the ordinary at our end, that is discussed before the quote, not discovered on it.

Delivery bundled invisibly

Any delivery charge is a separate line so you can see it, question it, or arrange your own collection where that suits you better.

Getting a useful number quickly

The fastest route to accurate wholesale pricing is to send four things: what it is for, roughly how many people, the date, and whether the venue has cold storage. That last one sounds minor and it decides which product we quote.

If you are building a business case and have not settled the product yet, say so. We will give you the range across both products and tell you which end you land on depending on what you choose, rather than picking one number and letting you plan around the wrong one. Request a quote

Send the four details

Occasion, headcount, date, and whether you have cold storage. That is enough for a written quote with a unit price, the minimum order and a lead time we can hold.
